Book Group
This is an open, drop-in group where everyone is welcome even if you have not read the book. Whether we are reading fiction or nonfiction, our discussions are illuminating (and, yes, we do actually discuss each book in depth).
We are a collaborative group with everyone sharing ideas and reactions. We all gain new perspectives on the book of the month and on the wider world. We also connect more deeply with one another.
We invite anyone who enjoys reading and talking about books to consider joining us. BELOW IS A LINK to our upcoming books.
Book Group is usually held on the first Thursday of the month from October through June at 10:30 am. We meet in person in Fellowship Hall and by request on UUCC's Zoom.
Book Group
Zoom Protocol
If you want to attend our book group discussion on Zoom,
we are happy to accommodate you.
Please notify us using the Read, Learn, Share Contact form, by 9:00 a.m.
on the day in question.
We will then set up the electronics in Fellowship Halll.
If no one has notified us that they need Zoom, there will be no Zoom option for that meeting.

Inclement Weather Policy
In the event the Augusta School system is closed, the Book Group will meet on Zoom only.
If the weather appears challenging, but the Augusta School system is open, group leaders Kathy and June will decide, before 9:00 a.m. that morning, whether to move the meeting to Zoom only. They will then notify everyone on the Book Group email list of their decision by 9:00 a.m.
In both cases, the leaders will notify the church office so this information can appear on the church webpage.
