The Story

The Reverend Carie Johnsen Social Justice award  was created to honor the work of the Rev. Carie Johnsen within the greater Augusta area following her tenure as settled minister. Each year the Unitarian Universalist Community Church's Social Justice Committee grants this award to a local organization whose work aligns with the values of the Unitarian Universalist faith. On January 26, 2025, The United Community Living Center was awarded a check to support the ongoing work of their organization. To learn more about this year's recipient of the Rev. Carie Johnsen award please visit the United Community Living Center's website.
