***NEW Group*** Death Talk - Augusta

Begins September 19th at UUCC, 69 Winthrop St., Augusta

Death Talk – Augusta is an informal monthly gathering which provides a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment for people to gather to discuss death and dying. Church members and friends, as well as members of the wider community are welcome.  Death Talk gatherings, which are appropriate for folks age 16 to 100+, occur around the world under various names.  They are agenda-free conversations.

Our first sessions are September 19, October 17, and November 21 from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm with subsequent sessions every third Thursday of the month. No RSVP is necessary. You are welcome to come whenever you wish. Sessions are held at UUCC, Drew House, 6 Summer Street.  FMI:


*** Guest Artist Concert - Saturday, September 28th

Gulimina Mahamuti, pianist:

Internationally acclaimed Chinese-American pianist, Dr. Gulimina Mahamuti, will share a solo recital of piano transcriptions of J.S. Bach-Egon Petri, D. Scarlatti-Enrique Granados, and Schubert-Liszt, and feature music by Maine composer, Lucas Richman, maestro of the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, with his Reflections for solo piano.

$10 suggested donation to be shared between the guest musician and the church.

Join us at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary for this one-hour concert.

Two SUNDAY SERVICES at 9:15 & 11:00 a.m.

BEGIN with our September 8th Service

Religious Exploration classes for children in grades K-7 are held during the 9:15 a.m. service beginning September 15th. There are no R.E. classes during the 11 a.m. service or in the summer months.  We welcome all ages to join us in the Sanctuary for multi-generational worship. 

Nursery care for infants and children age 4 and under is available at all services, year round.
