DRE Job Description

The Unitarian Universalist Community Church (UUCC) of Augusta, Maine is seeking a full-time Director of Religious Exploration (DRE) to lead a vibrant RE Program that serves as a cornerstone of our religious community.   

UUCC is looking forward to our future with great excitement.  With 200 members, a well-established Religious Exploration (RE) program with over 85 active participants, as well as a newly called Minister and a beautifully renovated RE facility, our congregation provides an ideal opportunity for a strong UU educator.  We seek a visionary and dynamic leader with a proven commitment to UU values and a deep understanding of UU history, who can connect with children, youth and young adults.  Technological fluency is essential for the position. 

Religious Exploration Credentialing with the Unitarian Universalist Association and (or) experience is highly desirable.

Salary, Schedule and Benefits

The position is full time for ten months of the year, with a salary range of $28,000- 32,000, commensurate with experience. The position includes a generous benefits package, including pension and health care contributions and compensation for professional development expenses. The term of employment is from mid-August through mid-June. The DRE is entitled to 5 Sundays off during this period.
